Six things worth getting right

1

Start a vehicle deal file

Enter the registration first, use lookup when connected, verify all returned particulars, then add seller and purchase details.

2

Keep expenses itemised

Open the vehicle, add each supplier expense separately and attach its receipt. Previous supplier names appear as suggestions.

3

Build the Queensland register

Complete received, seller, vehicle, location and disposal particulars. Every correction should include an amendment reason.

4

Prepare government forms

Upload the current official PDF template, choose a vehicle, run the prefill check and review every field before signing.

5

Export to an accountant or Xero

Choose a date range, download the detailed accountant report or Xero-ready CSV, then mark only imported rows as exported.

6

Protect the business record

Download a full ZIP regularly and connect Google Drive for a second copy. Test a restore using a separate demo before relying on it.

Important

Dealer Ledger is a recordkeeping aid, not legal, tax or accounting advice. Continue to use current Queensland Government forms where prescribed and have the final product reviewed before public launch.
